Conclusion of the Seasons PDI Competitions- Low Light

Results are a little late in publication, but the Final PDI members competition of the year was held on 23rd February. The theme was Low Light with a great variety of images on the theme.

Thanks to Cat Humphries for judging the competition and her helpful and considered comments on the images.

The Members Advance Colour Class had 5 images held by Cat as potential winning images.

  • Demon Drink -Maureen Smith -20 Winner
  • Light Show – Maureen Smith – 20
  • Dawn Fishing – Suzy Bray -20
  • Canoe Children – Gordon Mills – 19
  • Canary Walf – Gordon Mills -19

In the Advanced Mono group 3 images were held in the final selection.

  • Champagne on your Birthday – Russell Milner -20 Winner
  • By Candle Light – Maureen Smith – 20
  • Water Polo – Bill Pickard – 19

In the Club Colour Section it was again down to 3 images in the final selection.

  • Watching Jellyfish – Ann Bench -20 Winner.
  • Leven’s Hall Through the Topiary – Gordon Bramwell – 20
  • Reflection of Flame – Ann Bench -19

Finally the Club monochrome results. The held images were

  • Glass Light Reflection – Karen Carruthers – 20 Winner
  • Through – Elaine Elrick – 19
  • Waiting Room – Elaine Elrick -19

Thanks to everyone for taking part this year. Every member’s contribution to the competitions is valued. It is always interesting to see the variety of images presented and the creativity and skill of our members.

    Excellent entries excluding mine ha ha . I thought that Cat Humphries was a superb judge and had a wonderful manner and an insightfull view of photography.
