Big Day of Photography

Sunday 9th October saw the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union’s Big Day of Photography, which included the Bob Robinson Trophy, a competition for novice photographers.

The day of photography started with a key note address followed by opportunities to work in groups to photograph models and explore the interior and exterior of Spinners Mill, Leigh. There were also workshops organised by Wilkinson’s and Permajet. The Masters of Print Exhibition and examples of CPAGB and DPAGB panels were also on display. It was an enjoyable and interesting day meeting fellow photographers from clubs across the L and CPU.

During the day the Bob Robinson Trophy was judged and the day was rounded off with an awards ceremony.

It was great to see two members of the club achieve Commendations for their images.

Kim Rigg was awarded for her image ‘Boxer’ with a score of 28/30

Ann Dallaway was awarded for her image Shady Shaun with a score of 26/30 .

In the club competition Kendal achieved a position of 8th with 262 points, a great improvement on the 18th position of last year. The winning club was Chorley PS with a score of 310. Bob Robinson Club Results
