KPC 24-25 Season is Underway.

Three weeks into the new season and we are delighted to have welcomed a number of new members and visitors to the club. We hope you have enjoyed the club the talks and images and it has encouraged you to develop your photography and take part in future activities at the club.

The season so far has included a ‘Share and Tell Members Evening’ in which projects, learning and images from the summer where shared by members. There was an eclectic mix of images including Wildlife Photography, images using vintage lenses, images produced using in camera features such as double exposure, Street Photography including some ICM (Intentional Camera Movement), and a photographic journey which included landscape images.

The last two Wednesday meetings have included a shared Zoom talk with Keswick Photographic Society by Jeanette Lendon entitled “Mobile Phone Photography” . Last week, award winning Wildlife Photographer Irene Amiet attended the club to give an in person talk “Photographic Wildlife Stories” . The talk was also available on Zoom for members to enjoy at home if they wished. https://www.ireneamiet.com/the-artist

Wednesday 2nd of October will see our first print competition of the year which will be judged by Carol and Gordon Watson of Lytham St Ann’s Photographic Society. Members are reminded to bring prints on the evening.

This is also a reminder that 2nd October is also the closing date for PDI images for the Open Competition on 16th October.
