The second PDI competition of the season had the theme of ‘Balance’. This theme provided an interesting change for members. Thank you to all members who entered with a variety of images addressing the brief.

The judge for the evening was Lorraine Robbins a member from St Austell Camera Club. Thanks to Lorraine for her comments and advice on members images.

20 members entered both Colour and Monochrome competitions giving 40 images in each section.

The Monochrome section was won by Dave Nelson with his image ‘Featherweight’.

Jackie Loney achieved her first 20 point score at the club with her image ‘Man on a Ladder’ . Jackie achieved a great total of 39 point in the Monochrome section with her two images ‘Man on a Ladder’ and ‘New Footbridge at Gooseholme’. Well done Jackie.

In the Colour section Liz Bagnall also achieved her first 20 point score and first place with her image ‘Light and Shade’.

Congratulations also go to Bill Pickard who achieved a maximum score on the evening of 40 points with two images ‘Off Balance’ and ‘A Balanced Exposure’.

The next club competition is on 22nd November and is a print competition. It is an Open theme with Nicki Greenwood from Lytham St Anne’s judging. Please bring your prints on the night to the hall.

The 22nd November is also the closing date for the next PDI Competition with the theme Shadows, Silhouettes or Reflections which will be judge on 6th December by David Gibbons.
