Kendal KPC has returned for its 23-24 season.

We would like to say welcome to the new members who have joined the club.

The new season began on 13th September with the awarding of trophies to those members who achieved success in last year’s print and pdi competitions. Congratulations to all the winners.

Our first evening back continued with an opportunity for members to share images from the Summer Club Outing and Individual Projects.

Ann Dallaway shared a summary of the summer shoots with a collection of her images from all the outings, which were well organised by both Ann and Phil Drayton. The trips included Threlkeld Mining Museum, Hawkshead in the rain, Canal Foot at Ulverston and The Flying Scotsman to name a few.

Thanks goes to Phil and Ann and to all the members who took part, making the summer activities a great success.

Also on the first evening back at the club members shared their Summer Projects. Club members had the opportunity to show a variety of examples of their work from their activities over the summer. It is always interesting to see members’ photographic interests and images away from the club competitions. The quality and diversity of work on show was much appreciated by all attending the club in person and on Zoom.

Thanks goes to those members who shared their images. Later in the year there will be another Tell and Share evening and I would encourage all members to consider presenting a selection of their images for the appreciation of the club.

Finally could I also remind members of the first Print Competition night and the PDI competition deadline. Print images to be brought on the night of 4th October 2023. PDi images to kendalphotographyclub@gmail.com by 4th October 2023 at the latest.

Finally, a few members have sent images for a Gallery page on the website. These have now been uploaded. If you would like a Gallery page, please send 10 images to secretarykpc@btinternet.com at the standard club size of 1200×1600 pixels.
