Macro Photography by Colleen Slater

On Wednesday the 30th November we joined Keswick Photography Club via zoom to enjoy Colleen sharing her macro photography with images ranging from insects and flowers to some extremely original and abstract photography.

Colleen Slater is a fully qualified and experienced teacher with a BA degree in Fine Art and a postgraduate Art Teacher’s Certificate. She is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and member of Brighton and Hove Camera Club.

The subject was inspirational with something for all levels and members of the group. Some of the most thought provoking was her abstract photography inspired by ‘urban surfaces’ in Brighton including phone boxes and the surface of a concrete wall. It has definitely opened our eyes to some new photographic possibilities.

Collen was happy to share her behind the scenes set up and explain the settings and equipment used to achieve the images which added to an all round informative evening. Thank you Colleen.
