Open Print Competition Two Results

Harry Emmett CPAGB was the judge for this weeks Print Competition, the second of the 22-23 season.

The weather wasn’t the best for Harry’s drive to Kendal, and despite a delayed start due to technical difficulties arising from a missing light box wire, the judging of images was informative and appreciated by members.

Open themed competitions draw a wide variety of photographic subjects and the evening included, architectural, portrait, landscape, nature and abstract images.

Whilst judging images Harry discussed the impact mount colours can make to a image and gave advice on composition and image toning.

Advanced colour images were judged first, the winning image was ‘Bearded Tit’ by Peter Kennedy.

In the Club colour section congratulation went to Karen Carruthers for her image ‘Winter Sunshine Tarn Hows’.

The Advanced mono section saw two images achieve 20 points, ‘Vicar’s Close’ by Maureen Smith and ‘Chloe’ by Kim Rigg. Maureen image was awarded overall first place.

In the Club Mono section first place went to Martin Rowe for ‘Mining Museum Roof Detail’.
